Interview Questions

How do you decide when to do something without being given direction?  Give me an example of a time when you did this.  What was the outcome?

When have you regretted not taking action because you waited for direction?  Why?  What was the situation?

When have you decided to take action on your own to get an important task or job done?  How did you decide what to do?

Have you ever thought of a way to improve the efficiency of your job?  What did you do with that idea?

Have you ever done something without direction that turned out with a poor result?  Tell me about that situation. (If they answer no keep pushing, we have all done this)

Have you ever fixed a problem in your company that no one else wanted to deal with?

When have you identified a problem as an opportunity and turned it around into positive thing?
